The Central Staff Recruitment Commission (SSC Job Application) has announced the recruitment process for a total of 2423 vacancies in 365 categories to work in the institutions and departments of various states and union territories of the Government of India through Direct Competitive Computer Based Examination (CBE).
This notification was issued on June 2, 2025, and all the details are available for the eligible candidates on the official website of SSC (SSC Job Notification). The rules made by the Recruitment Commission for submitting the application and other complete details are shared below.
SSC Vacancy Details-Details of the posts:
This recruitment process includes Junior Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Clerk, and other Group ‘C’ and Group ‘B’ posts in various departments. These posts are available in various ministries, departments and institutions of the Central Government across India. These posts offer stable employment, good pay scale, pension, health insurance, and other government benefits.
SSC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 40 years of age as on August 01, 2025. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST, OBC, and PWD category candidates as per government rules.
Education Qualification: Minimum education requirement is SSLC (10th class) pass to Graduation depending on the posts. Some posts require special skills or computer knowledge.
Exam Pattern: A Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted for recruitment, which will consist of multiple choice questions. The exam will cover general intelligence, reasoning ability, statistics, English language, and general knowledge.
SSC Job Application Last Date-Details of important dates for examination and application:
Application Submission: Applications should be submitted online only. The last date for submission of applications is 23rd June 2025, 11:00 PM.
Exam Date: Computer Based Examination will be held from 23rd July to 04th August 2025.
Correction Period: If there is any mistake in the submitted application, it will be possible to correct it from 28th to 30th June 2025.

Eligible and interested candidates can submit the application by preparing the necessary documents and visiting your nearest Gram One Center or by filling the application as per the instructions in Annexure 4 to 4A and Annexure 5 to 5A on the SSC website https://ssc.gov.in.

SSC Online Application-How to apply online:
Eligible students/candidates should access the official SSP software of the Central Government and fill in the required details and first register, then log in and submit the application, for which follow the procedure given below.
Step-1: First, click on this link Apply Now and visit the official SSC software.

Step-2: After this, click on the button “Login Or Register” on the home page and the applicant has to fill the required information and create a user ID and password.
Step-3: Enter the user ID and password and click on the “Login” button to login and fill all the required information on this page and finally upload the documents and submit the application.
SSC Application Fee:
Application Fee: The application fee for general and OBC candidates may be Rs. 100, but there may be exemption for SC/ST, women, and PWD candidates (check the website for exact information).
Exam Centers: The exam will be held in various cities across India. Candidates can choose their nearest exam center.
Preparation Tips: Candidates can practice SSC previous years’ question papers, sample question papers, and online mock tests to prepare for the exam. It is useful to read daily newspapers, news websites, and government reports for general knowledge.
